I grew up before cell phones and social media. \u00a0So my world felt smaller and I was more sheltered. \u00a0I realize that for many years my view of others was limited by what I and my nuclear family were like. \u00a0I thought that either everyone was like us and thought the way we thought….or else maybe they should. \u00a0I know now, \u00a0or perhaps am beginning to realize, how limited I was in my thinking. \u00a0I believe there are absolute truths. \u00a0It is just that they do not extend out to the point of all my preferences and opinions!<\/p>\n

One absolute truth taught by the word of God is that every person is created in His image. \u00a0What I did not fathom is how vast and wide God is. \u00a0He has people who love Him who are vastly different from me. \u00a0They have different pasts, different cultures, different ways of approaching problems, different gifts, different weaknesses, different looks, different tastes….and the list goes on. \u00a0Diversity can be so beautiful.<\/p>\n

The world has opened up for me in so many ways compared to when I was young. \u00a0I have learned that the few boundaries that God did set down for all men and women not to cross are actually for our protection….not to limit us. \u00a0I am truly awed and amazed at the variety to be found in people and country and nature itself. \u00a0It all points to the glory of a magnificent creator. \u00a0How sad is the \u00a0blindness of many who have been brainwashed into believing evolution. \u00a0Apes and monkeys are magnificent in their own right, but they are not our ancestors. \u00a0Our heritage is so much more glorious. \u00a0There is such potential in each and every one of us!<\/p>\n

And what a magnificent planet we live on! \u00a0It is sad that so much of human time and imaginations is spent dwelling on what is wrong. What if we all just take a fresh look around? \u00a0There is a lot that is true, honorable, just, pure, good, lovely and commendable. \u00a0 Maybe we could hunt for these things and think about them. \u00a0What would happen if we were to dwell on what is good and use our imagination to expand it further? \u00a0What if we were to each explore the God given potential hidden within us….and help others to do the same. \u00a0 Perhaps we would be amazed at how much more peaceful and joyous and exciting our inner and outer worlds become!<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
