I haven’t written in a long while. \u00a0Life gets so busy! \u00a0But my thoughts tumble over themselves and I find a desire to put them on paper. \u00a0They seem to sort themselves out that way.<\/p>\n
This is such a fascinating world! \u00a0As I approach my 60th birthday, I dream of doing new things and exploring new places and ideas. \u00a0Why did I not want this more when \u00a0I was younger? \u00a0It’s not that the world has gotten any bigger! \u00a0It’s always been large and enchanting, ever since man was instructed to fill the earth and subdue it. \u00a0So what has changed with me? \u00a0Perhaps technology has wetted my appetite for new experiences? \u00a0Though it has increased cost and complexity, it has also made new vistas more available. \u00a0Or perhaps it is seeing things through the eyes of my kids, whose world sometimes seems to have limitless options? \u00a0 My generation did not have so many choices! \u00a0 Whatever it is, my curiosity is piqued. \u00a0 No putting that cat back in the bag, so to speak<\/p>\n
I have practiced medicine in a small town for 30 years and \u00a0still love it. \u00a0For that same 30 years I have wanted our little downtown area to be different. \u00a0 I think all small towns should have a bustling, ecclectic, thriving main street. \u00a0Ours does not. \u00a0Then one day, recently, I called a number on an empty store front and ended up buying the building. \u00a0Ahhhh….something new! \u00a0I do not know what is next but I am excited about the possibilities. \u00a0 It is fun to dream. \u00a0I am sick of staying in the box! \u00a0Time to bust out. \u00a0Maybe in future blogs, I will tell you more. \u00a0Can’t now because I don’t know myself!<\/p>\n
So….I am beginning to spread my wings and explore. I will never be able to see and do everything! There is just not enough time. \u00a0(or energy). But curiosity and imagination are wonderful gifts from God. \u00a0And\u00a0I think…..if this fallen world is so wonderful and full, what must Heaven be like? \u00a0There may be new colors, new sounds, sights never imagined on earth. \u00a0And I will have all eternity to explore!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
