What is it about little children that is so inviting? \u00a0They are such a pleasure to be around. \u00a0They brighten up life. They bring life. \u00a0They make you feel more alive yourself. \u00a0But why?<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
As I think about this, I realize that when we are children we have characteristics that are wonderful but seem to fade as we grow.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
#1 – Children are eager to learn. \u00a0The are open to the wonder of creation. They are NOT CYNICAL. \u00a0They seem to intuitively realize that there is a glory to this world and are eager to explore it.\u00a0 An ant hill can fascinate. \u00a0The ocean amazes. \u00a0Racing caterpillars or catching grasshoppers can go on for hours. \u00a0How wonderful if adults looked at each new day as a child did…with excitement and wonder at what they might discover!<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
#2 – children are HUMBLE. \u00a0\u00a0They are not yet consumed with their own importance. \u00a0They want to be included but don’t have to be the center.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
#3 – They haven’t been tainted by political correctness. \u00a0They say what is on their minds without carefully choosing ambiguous language. \u00a0Hurtful sometimes, but refreshingly HONEST.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
#4 – They \u00a0LOVE \u00a0easily. \u00a0They won’t notice that you are not dressed properly. \u00a0It won’t matter if you are fat or thin, tall or short, black or white. \u00a0You love them and they love you back. \u00a0Simple.<\/div>\n
