{"id":1571,"date":"2025-02-10T01:19:08","date_gmt":"2025-02-10T01:19:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.doctormomx4.com\/?p=1571"},"modified":"2025-02-10T01:19:10","modified_gmt":"2025-02-10T01:19:10","slug":"do-you-have-a-healthy-heart","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.doctormomx4.com\/?p=1571","title":{"rendered":"DO YOU HAVE A HEALTHY HEART??"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n<p>February is American Heart month&#8230;.a good time to look at how you are taking care of yours.\u00a0 Good heart care is multifaceted and includes many things you are already aware of.\u00a0 These are the things that physicians always talk about&#8230;..good nutrition, exercise, and adequate rest. These are important, but&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>There are other needs for a healthy heart.\u00a0 For instance a calm and peaceful spirit, lots of laughter, joy and a healthy world view.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It is true that how you eat affects your heart.\u00a0 How you exercise affects your heart.\u00a0 But &#8230;.so does worry and stress.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>So, in celebration of February and Valentine&#8217;s Day, here are some ideas for maintaining a heathy heart.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Yes, you guessed it!\u00a0 Avoid the sweets!\u00a0 Opt for nuts, fruit, vegetables, healthy protein, healthy fats, and stay away from processed foods (usually in a box and easy to prepare)<\/p>\n<p>Get AT LEAST one half-hour of exercise daily.\u00a0 It DOES NOT need to be at a gym.\u00a0 It can be something fun like dancing or walking with a friend.<\/p>\n<p>Get adequate sleep\u00a0 The amount can vary between people and there is not a magic number of hours.\u00a0 Try to WIND DOWN before going to bed by avoiding screens and most sleep best if the room is DARK and COLD.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And then&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;consider a few more.<\/p>\n<p>LAUGH!\u00a0 Find things that are funny!\u00a0 Even in the midst of trouble, you can usually find something comical.\u00a0 Listen to your favorite comedian or just find things to laugh at during the day, even if it is yourself.\u00a0 As God&#8217;s word says in Proverbs 17:22,\u00a0 &#8221; A joyful heart is <span class=\"search-match\">good medicine.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Avoid overload, especially mental or emotional overload.\u00a0 We are FINITE and were never meant to take on the cares of the entire world.\u00a0 Help someone right in front of you and pray for those you cannot do anything for.\u00a0 Try to do today what you can do today and avoid worrying about tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>Be generous of spirit.\u00a0 It is AMAZING how good you can make yourself feel by giving to someone else.<\/p>\n<p>And finally, remember your Creator.\u00a0 Jesus says, I am the way, the truth and the life.\u00a0 He also says I have come that you may have life and have it more abundantly.\u00a0 So&#8230;if Jesus dwells in your heart, it will be HEALTHY!!!<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0STAY AWAY FROM THAT VALENTINE&#8217;S DAY CANDY!!!!!<\/p>\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>February is American Heart month&#8230;.a good time to look at how you are taking care of yours.\u00a0 Good heart care is multifaceted and includes many things you are already aware of.\u00a0 These are the things that physicians always talk about&#8230;..good nutrition, exercise, and adequate rest.
